SectionalIQ Privacy Policy

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

SectionalIQ LLC ("SectionalIQ", "we", "us") makes software that lets garage door companies offer a door designer and quote tool on their own websites. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers:

We do not sell personal information.

1. Our role when you use a company's builder

When you use the builder on a garage door company's website, that company decides why your information is collected and how it is used. We collect and store it for that company, as its service provider. The company's own privacy policy also applies, and the company is your first contact for questions about your request. You can also contact us (section 11), and we will pass your request to the company and help it respond.

2. Information collected through the builder

Your design. The doors you configure (sizes, style, color, windows and options), the house illustration choices you make, a house number if you enter one, the options you compare and the prices the builder shows you.

What you send. When you send a design or a repair request: your name, email, phone number, address, your notes, how you found the company, and the repair issues you pick.

Photos and videos you add. A photo of your house, photos or videos of your garage or the problem, and your answer if the company asks whether it may use them in its marketing.

Saved designs. If you ask for a link to your design by email, your email address, an optional project name and the design. If you create a share link without an email, only the design.

Where you came from. The page the builder is on, the website that sent you there, and ad campaign tags in the page address (such as UTM tags and Google or Facebook click IDs). Your browser keeps these for your visit (session storage) and sends them with your request so the company knows which of its ads or listings brought you.

How the builder is used. Anonymous actions, such as which step you opened, which styles and colors you tapped, and whether you downloaded a PDF, with the page address but not its query string. These are tied to a random ID created each time the page loads, not to your name, contact details or IP address.

Technical information. Your IP address is used briefly to block abuse, such as too many requests from one connection. We store only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of it for this purpose. Your browser also sends standard information, such as its type, so pages load correctly.

On your device. The builder may save up to 4 of your designs in your browser's local storage so they are there when you come back. It does not save your photos or contact details this way. Choosing Start over, or clearing your browser's site data, removes them.

3. How builder information is used

Ad measurement. If the company has connected its ad accounts, the builder tells Google or Meta that a request was sent, with its estimated value and a reference number. It does not send your name or contact details. Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies; the company's privacy policy describes how it uses them.

4. Information about companies and team members

When a company uses the dashboard, we collect: each team member's name, email and role; sign-in records (codes and passwords are stored only in scrambled, hashed form); sign-in session cookies; a device's notification address if alerts are turned on; notification choices; a history of changes made in the dashboard; the company's business details, license numbers, logo, prices and settings; and billing information, which our payment processor holds.

Questions typed into the dashboard's Help assistant are sent to Anthropic to write an answer from our help articles. We do not send lead or customer information with them.

We use this information to run the dashboard, deliver leads and alerts, send account and weekly summary emails, provide support, bill for the Service and keep accounts secure.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies and browser storage

The builder itself does not set cookies. It uses your browser's local storage and session storage as described in section 2. The dashboard uses a sign-in cookie that it needs to work. The company's website, and the ad and analytics tools it uses, may set their own cookies; see that company's privacy policy.

7. How long we keep information

We may keep information longer when the law requires it.

8. Security

We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and sign-in codes, private links for photos and videos, and access limited to each company's own team, by role. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

10. Children

The Service is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
